To me, music is magic. It transcends language and connects us all on a vibrational level. Music above all makes sense.
It is undeniable how music can affect the way we feel, it can connect us to deep memories, it can make us feel uplifted or stir more turbulent emotions. External vibrations change our own vibration.
While examining and attempting to understand my relationship with performing, I began to investigate the mechanics of my body and saw that it is, in fact, a singing machine. As is yours!
My goal is to help you 'tune up your singing machine' - by focussing on the feeling of your voice rather than how it sounds. Together we will delve into the world of Self Soothing Singing, a calming and sweet place to dwell.
Self Soothing singing lessons can:
Reduce stress, by giving you an understanding of your parasympathetic nervous system; Increase nasal nitric oxide, studies show humming produces a dramatic increase in sinus ventilation; Connect you to your voice, by switching focus on from is heard to what is felt;
Increase strength in voice, tongue and facial muscles;
eliminate ineffective habits around breathing such as snoring or apnea, speaking and singing.
